Interior maps and drawings for The Trail are being done by technical illustrator Jeremy Ascroft, well known for his cartography and technical landscape drawings of mountainous regions like the Sierra.

Cover Art for The Trail is being created by nature and landscape artist Faith Rumm. Her paintings illuminate the spirit of the Sierra, which John Muir named "The Range of Light". Some samples of her John Muir Trail collection are shown here while awaiting her final cover design for The Trail.
